I’m a teacher and I want to get involved…
This Autumn term, I know I wish I will invites primary and secondary schools to take part in a record-breaking, totally FREE spoken word poetry competition.
Thousands of young people aged 5-25 across the country will create their spoken word poems, either individually or in teams, and submit them online, to be in with the chance of performing on stage in London’s West End alongside young people from across the country on World Poetry Day 2020.
500 performers from across the nation will be selected to perform in this unparalleled event: the world’s longest youth-led spoken word poetry performance.
The performance will be live-streamed around the world and the poems will feature in a book.
The competition opens in September 2019 and the deadline for submissions is 20th December 2019.
